We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented TIG Welder to join our production team. In this role, you will primarily perform high-precision fusion TIG welding on stainless steel components. The ideal candidate possesses strong blueprint-reading capabilities, a comprehensive understanding of weld sequencing, and a proven track record of producing high-integrity, vacuum-tight welds in hard-to-reach areas.
DAILY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Precision Fusion Welding: Perform high-quality fusion TIG (GTAW) welding primarily on stainless steel assemblies and components.
- Vacuum Tight Integrity: Produce leak-free, vacuum-tight welds capable of meeting strict quality control and pressure testing standards, including work in hard-to-reach locations.
- Metallurgy & Parameter Setup: Demonstrate deep understanding of stainless steel metallurgy; select proper weld parameters, gas flow, amperage, and filler rods based on material specifications.
- Order of Operations & Sequencing: Analyze drawings to determine proper weld sequences, identifying main datum points and hole penetration sequences to minimize distortion.
- Blueprint Reading: Read, interpret, and work directly from complex engineering drawings, schematics, and shop blueprints.
- Instruction & Collaboration: Interpret multi-format instructions (written, oral, diagram, or schedule) and work productively with team members and supervisory staff.
