WelderJob Summary: The welder operates fabricating machines such as cutoff saws and punches that cut, shape and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, strut channel and structures by performing the following duties below.Job Duties:Read and understand blueprints/plans to determine the kind and quality of materials neededSet up and operate fabricating machines (such as brakes, rolls, grinders, and drill presses) to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal componentsObserve strict safe work habitsShould be familiar with the following:Hydraulic press brakesPlasma cuttersPunchesRollersDetails:Monday – FridayTypically, 40 hours (OT available depending on NEFCO needs)Start time is flexible and can be anywhere from 6:00AM to 7:00AM. End time will adjust accordingly between 3:30PM and 4:00PM.Requirements:Qualifications:High school diploma (or equivalent)Ability to use NEFCO's ERP software systemMust pass a Tape Measure TestAbility to use warehouse layouts for planning purposesBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plusBasic computer skillsMust have a positive, hard-working attitudeAbility to establish priorities, work independently and little supervisionAbility to multitaskExcellent communication skillsAbility to stands on concrete floor for long periods of timeMust be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for a long period of timeAbility to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for liftingAbility to safely lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documentsAnalytical ability including basic math skills
