We are a global company, and our products—including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles and accessories—can be found all over the world.This position is responsible for operating welding equipment to build high quality parts, subassemblies, and finished product. Weldments vary in type, size, and direction and are performed on a variety of production lines.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Adjust welding machine settings to proper weld configurationsUse tools such as grinders, needle guns, wire wheels, etc.
for cleanliness of finished weldsHeats and forms metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, or welding equipmentWelds components in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positionsAccurately operate and read measuring devicesAssemble and weld various metal parts togetherProperly position material/parts to be weldedTrain and work in various areas of production in response to production demandsFollow verbal and written work instructions including ability to read blueprintsAttention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standardsMaintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standardsWork in both team and individual settingsRegular attendance requiredAll other duties and responsibilities that are assignedMinimum Qualifications:Must receive a passing score on the Welder Qualification test and recertify skills as required by program guidelinesMust have completed a weld class / curriculumOshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities.
