Weld EngineerWe are seeking a skilled Weld Engineer to design and develop welding procedures and specifications. This role involves selecting appropriate welding techniques, equipment, and materials, inspecting welded components for quality and compliance, and collaborating with design, production, and quality teams. The successful candidate will troubleshoot welding defects, recommend improvements, and maintain documentation for traceability and regulatory compliance.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop welding procedures and specifications.Select appropriate welding techniques, equipment, and materials.Inspect welded components for quality and compliance.Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams.Troubleshoot welding defects and recommend improvements.Maintain documentation for traceability and regulatory compliance.Essential SkillsProficiency in welding techniques and processes such as MIG, TIG, SMAW, and FCAW.Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.Strong understanding of welding engineering and weld codes.Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding processes, metallurgy, and CAD tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with AWS standards and other relevant standards.Experience with audits.Work EnvironmentThis position could be remote, offering flexibility in the work environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
