Job TitleUnder the supervision of the North Region Construction's North Area District Materials Engineer, a senior transportation engineer administers the Caltrans Material Plant Quality Program and CT 109 certification process (MPQP/CT 109 program). The incumbent will be encouraged to take independent action with significant decisions and final recommendations reviewed and generally concurred with by the District Materials Engineer. The position requires effective communication with internal programs and private stakeholders.
A driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Materials and Research Engineering Associate (Specialist) exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
