Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM) physician with ABOM certification to join their growing Department of Weight & Lifestyle Medicine. This role involves providing outpatient care for patients with obesity and related conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will share the team's passion for helping patients achieve healthier lives through evidence-based obesity and lifestyle medicine, valuing professional excellence, teamwork, and compassion.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct outpatient care for patients with obesity and related conditions
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans incorporating behavioral, nutritional, pharmacologic, and bariatric surgical therapies
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activities
  • Stay current on advancements in obesity medicine and bariatric care

Compensation

  • Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $238,500 to $392,500
  • Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role

Shift & Schedule

  • Provide 36 patient contact hours and 4 administrative hours per week

Requirements

  • MD or DO, Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM)
  • ABOM Certification
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
