Ameriwell Care is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an individual with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities on weekends.

What You'll Do

As a Weekend DSP, you will provide individualized support based on the person’s needs and goals. Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the individual with daily living skills and independence

• Accompanying the individual on community outings and recreational activities

• Encouraging socialization and community participation

• Assisting with shopping, errands, meals, and other daily activities

• Providing companionship and positive, person-centered support

• Assisting with personal care when needed

• Providing transportation when required for the assignment

• Following the individual’s ISP, safety guidelines, and support strategies

• Completing required service documentation and daily notes

• Maintaining consistent and reliable attendance for scheduled weekend shifts

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Dependable and committed to working scheduled weekend hours

• Compassionate, patient, and professional

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required

• Must be willing and able to complete required NJ DDD training and background-clearance requirements
