The ideal candidate would have strong experience creating reports in WebFOCUS and using SQL often. This is an on-site position in Ridgeland, MS.What You'll Do:Design, develop, and implement business intelligence dashboards using efficient techniques, reusable code and web services as applicable.Participate with implementation of documented reporting applications and improvement strategies; report problems to the software vendors, provide requested documentation, and track problems to resolutionDevelop and monitor procedures for the WebFOCUS server environment proactively for any issues and address access and performance issuesAnalyze requested reporting requirements and propose effective and flexible solutionsDevelop alternative solutions, as appropriate, and review with the Manager and Information team Develop logic charts, record formats, Metadata, and detailed technical programming specs Coordinate the creation or modification of database queries with the DBA’s as requiredPrepare documentation in compliance with department standardsDevelop/maintain self-service reporting applications that are flexible and scalableDevelop/create data sources to connect to the databases to retrieve required data efficientlyDevelop test cases and scripts, execute the test plans, and evaluate resultsTroubleshoot user technical problems and ensures quick resolution with proper documentation Analyze and resolve testing issues and production problems as reported in the problem tracking systemDevelop and enforce the coding standards and conventionsWhat Your Background Looks Like:B.S.
or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mathematics or a related field5 years' experience with experience in a Reports Developer role with five years’ concurrent experience with FOCUS, WebFOCUS, Reporting Server (iWay/EDA), and SQL3 years’ concurrent experience with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
