The Web Development Supervisor leads a team of 8 web developers who manage current and new web site projects, including WordPress and Drupal sites.


The team works in a fast-paced environment and is responsible for the management of both static and content management style sites. This team works closely with agency staff to ensure the citizens of the state have access to online services on both agency and enterprise levels.


The Web Development Supervisor is responsible for developing policies and standards for the web team members, managing risks, as well as quality checks to ensure security measures are followed. Additionally, the Web Development Team Supervisor works cohesively with other ITSD teams including the Office of Cyber Security, Database, Citizen Portal, Application Development, and State Data Center functional teams.


The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.


This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Web team.

  • Supervise, evaluate, and mentor a team of 8 web developers.

  • Delegate tasks according to team's expertise.

  • Apply knowledge of both Drupal and WordPress.

  • Develop policies/standards/guidelines.

  • Ensure proper security measures are followed.

  • Ensure websites are WCAG 2.2 / ADA Title II compliant.

  • Provide excellent customer service.

  • Triage and elevate production issues as appropriate.

  • Promote continual education of both self and employees.

  • Ensure that work is documented appropriately.

  • Order/Manage equipment inventory.

  • Collaborate with other ITSD teams and ITSD leadership.



  • This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, creativity, technical proficiency, and operational excellence. An in-depth knowledge of content management systems, web and application technologies, and operations is essential to the person who manages this team.
