Web IDE Engineer/ Build & Release Engineer
Develop cloud-based tool chain integration development environment (IDE) software based on the technologies, services from open source tool communities, OpenStack/Docker, and cloud tool services.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and provisioning a cloud IDE, cloud computing platform, and infrastructure based on Openstack or Docker over software-defined network, software-defined storage, and commodity servers using automation tools such as Chef/Puppet and developing programming scripts for the end-to-end automatic process.
- Analyze and break down the R&D tool architecture in details and integrate R&D tools into the cloud computing platform and work on SaaS, PaaS service delivery with DevOps offering.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in developing IDE (Integrated Development Environment) tools, software IDEs, or Cloud IDE such as Cloud 9, Open Source Eclipse Che, Eclipse Orion, Eclipse IDE, or open-source projects such as Atom, or Nuclide.
- Previous experience in Eclipse Cloud Development Project with Plug-in development on supporting features expected from a world-class IDE, like context sensitivity with errors highlighting, auto-completion, refactoring, debugging, Docker container integration a plus.
- 3 years’ experience in Continuous Delivery (CD) and strong knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins, build scripts for release management across all environments (Cloud or on Prem).
- 3 years’ experience with Linux Git/SVN or other source control management (SCM) tools.
- Working knowledge of programming tools, operating systems, and related technologies required.
- Working experience with cloud computing platforms (Docker, OpenStack, AWS) and cloud technologies required.
- Experience with full knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent written and oral communications skills required.
- Self-starter, taking initiative and requiring minimal oversight.
- Ability to spot trends and recommend solutions.
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
