Web First Press OperatorThe Web First Press Operator is responsible for operating web press machines and will play an essential role in the company. This position is a leadership role and will assist in directing the work activities of the press team members to ensure productivity, quality and safety goals are met.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain web presses and all auxiliary equipmentGuide crew to meet and exceed production standardsResponsible for the ongoing training and development of teamResponsible for promoting, enforcing and sustaining safety and look for ways to improve the operationAssist Supervisors in providing feedback for employee evaluationsFacilitate teamwork on crews and between shiftsEnsures good housekeeping practices are followedPerforms routine and preventive maintenance on all assigned equipmentPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Skills and Abilities3 – 5+ years of experience as a multicolor web press operator preferredAbility to lead and foster growth and development on the teamKnowledgeable of press set-up and maintenance proceduresEffective communications skills with all levels within the organizationHas basic computer skillsMust be self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety orientedThe ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodationMittera is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
