Robert Half's Marketing & Creative client is seeking two Website Content & Story Writers for an onsite contract opportunity in Amherst, MA. This is a full-time contract role (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM) supporting the creation of compelling digital content. This engagement is expected to run through the end of the year. The Website Content & Story Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and publishing engaging web content that strengthens institutional brand awareness, supports enrollment efforts, and enhances audience engagement across digital channels.


Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging website content including feature stories, articles, profiles, blogs, and news content.
  • Research and develop compelling stories highlighting student, faculty, alumni, and community achievements.
  • Conduct interviews and gather information to support content development.
  • Write content that supports brand awareness, audience engagement, and recruitment initiatives.
  • Update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Edit and proofread content to align with brand and editorial standards.
  • Collaborate with writers, editors, and stakeholders on content projects and campaigns.
  • Upload and publish content within Drupal or similar content management systems.
  • Optimize content for web audiences, readability, and user experience.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute to content planning and editorial initiatives across the organization.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in content writing, editorial, journalism, digital communications, content marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience conducting interviews and developing content for articles, profiles, blogs, or feature stories.
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and editorial skills with the ability to translate complex topics into engaging content.
  • Experience creating content for websites, digital publications, blogs, and online audiences.
  • Familiarity with Drupal or similar content management systems.
  • Strong editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills.
