Wealth Management Senior Trust OfficerCorporate - 1st Floor - McAllen, TX 78504DescriptionFulfills fiduciary responsibilities of Lone Star National Bank (LSNB) by providing expert trust administration and counsel to High Net Worth clients and their beneficiaries. Within the relationship management team, collaborates effectively and provides insights and solutions to attract, retain and grow clients who require complex strategies to protect, grow and transition personal and family wealth. Actively manages trust and agency accounts, in accordance with established policies and procedures, to a high professional standard.

Retains and deepens profitable client relationships within assigned revenue base. Actively produces new revenue both as a team member and individually to meet production goals.Essential DutiesFiduciary Expertise:Maintains deep expertise in fiduciary, investment, tax, and other related wealth issuesDesigns and delivers sophisticated fiduciary solutions, using relationship team model, to high net worth clients with complex financial needsAdvises Relationship Managers (RMs) and other partners on internal fiduciary issuesTrust Administration:Administers complex fiduciary accounts and assigned agency accountsAnalyzes and interprets legal instruments to determine duties and responsibilities of bankIdentifies and resolves potential trust and estate tax-related issuesApplies sound fiduciary judgment to trust mattersClient Management:Works with Wealth Relationship Managers to retain and expand existing client relationshipsReviews client estate planning and trust documents and advises and works collaboratively with RMs, attorneys, etc. on recommended changesAnticipates and advises clients on evolving financial goals and objectivesProvides outstanding client care and service by proactive client contacts and adherence to required service standardsCompliance:Fulfills LSNB's fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring retention of business, protects LSNB's reputation by actively managing legal requirements and litigation risksRepresents LSNB at all times and conduct all business transactions in accordance with the bank's Code of Conduct and Ethical StandardsAssumes accountability for all delegated work on assigned accountsSales:Contributes to attaining team sales goalsParticipates in relationship reviews as fiduciary expert on high net worth teamsIdentifies and prioritizes trust and other opportunities to deepen relationships and enhance revenueMeets and engages with clients, prospective clients, attorneys, accountants, consultants, and co-fiduciariesFosters close business relationships to develop client loyalty and new business opportunitiesManages the hiring, daily activities, coaching, evaluating and counseling of reporting staffParticipates in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessaryMaintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy, and ensures adherence by the respective department personnelMaintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations, and ensures adherence by the respective department personnelMaintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML, and ensures adherence by the respective department personnelQualificationsThese specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position.

Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.Five to seven plus years of trust administration or equivalent work experienceMust be able to create and maintain deep levels of trust, confidence and credibility with clients and their multi-generational family membersA self-motivated individual that is passionate about serving clients and helping individuals reach their financial goals and objectivesEffective communication skills and ability to effectively identify and match client needs, wants and desires with possible solutionsA JD is desired, CTFA is required; progress toward these designations will be considered if requisite prior experience level is metBilingual in English and Spanish is desiredThis position reports to the Director of Wealth ManagementThis position oversees the Wealth Management Trust SpecialistsAll employees are required to attend scheduled mandatory trainings and complete online regulatory compliance training courses applicable to their specific job function. In all situations, employees must ensure that their actions fully comply with all federal banking laws and regulations, including internal bank policies and procedures.
