Responsibilities

The Regional Trust Team Leader for the NYC markets will oversee a senior team of trust professionals managing approximately $19B in assets. Responsibilities include:

  • Talent Management – oversee a team of Trust Officers, Trust Administrators and Trust Professionals, ensuring technical expertise in trusts and estates, managing an UHNW client-focused business.
  • Client Relationship Management – deepen existing client relationships, collaborate with Private Bank advisors, coordinate client strategy and engagements.
  • Risk Management – guide Trust Officers on fiduciary matters, ensure trust teams meet metrics around account reviews and maintenance, approve discretionary actions.
  • Sales Management – collaborate with Trust Officers and market partners to articulate the bank’s value proposition, pursue growth opportunities, and drive a consistent opportunity pipeline.
  • New Business Review and Approval – oversee business acceptance and administration of all regional fiduciary business.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, JD preferred.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience focused on the Trust business.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing talent and leading an effective, responsive team.
  • Ability to guide, direct and monitor employees on client-specific matters.
  • Extensive knowledge of fiduciary products and services, including wills, estate planning, GRATS, etc.
  • Strong communication skills with senior management, including C-level executives.
  • Risk Management experience.
  • Solid Client Relationship Management experience within the Ultra High Net Worth space.
  • Proven track record of collaborating across stakeholders and lines of business.
