Wealth Advisor

Location: Chicago, IL
Pay: $100K - $160K (compensation varies depending on experience level)
General Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wealth Advisor to manage and grow relationships with high-net-wroth clients. This individual will act as a trusted advisor, developing a comprehensive understanding of each client’s financial circumstances, family considerations, long-term objectives, and risk tolerance. The Wealth Advisor will develop and implement goals-based investment and financial planning strategies while providing ongoing portfolio guidance and relationship management. The position combines client advisory, investment management, financial planning, relationship development, and business development responsibilities.
Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary advisor and relationship contact for an assigned portfolio of wealth management clients, providing a high level of service and ongoing financial guidance.
• Build a comprehensive understanding of each client’s financial position, investment objectives, family circumstances, long-term goals, liquidity needs, and risk tolerance.
• Recommend appropriate investment strategies and asset allocations based on individual client objectives and risk profiles.
• Implement investment strategies for new accounts, additional client assets, and changes to existing portfolios.
• Partner with internal invesmtn professionals to address specialized portfolio needs, unique client circumstances, and investment strategy considerations.
• Conduct regular portfolio and investment reviews with clients and communicate relevant changes to investment strategies, market positioning, and financial plans.
• Utilize financial planning tools and strategies and strategies to strengthen client relationships, identify additional needs, and support long-term, and personal contacts.
• Develop new business opportunities through professional networks, referral relationships, internal partnerships, centers of influence, and personal contacts.
• Represent client needs and perspectives in internal investment and strategy discussions.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and complete required investment reviews for assigned accounts.
• Ensure client activity and recommendations remain consistent with applicable regulatory requirements, fiduciary responsibilities, and internal compliance standards.
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in investment management, portfolio management, wealth management, or a closely related financial advisory capacity.
• Demonstrated experience advising cleitns with sophisticated investment, financial planning, and wealth management needs.
• Strong client relationship management experience with the ability to establish credibility and develop long-term advisory relationships.
• Comprehensive understanding of investment products, portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management, and investment strategy.
• Experience utilizing financial planning platforms and tools to develop and present client financial strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain investment and financial planning concepts to clients.
• Ability to balance investment advisory responsibilities with relationship management and client development.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous business development or new-client acquisition experience.
• Experience within wealth management, banking, investment advisory, or broader financial services environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• CFA, CFP, or similar professional designation preferred.
• Strong understanding of wealth management industry practices, fiduciary responsibilities, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated commitment to continued professional education and development.
