Water / Wastewater Operator-In-TrainingWe are seeking a Water / Wastewater Operator-In-Training for assignment in Bixby, Oklahoma. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the operations and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant including maintenance of equipment, quality control/testing and other day-to-day activities on an assigned shift.Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pmResponsibilitiesLearns and gains skills involving the maintenance of equipment and servicing work in the plantOperates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water/wastewater, sludge, and effluentOperates valves and gates either manually or by remote control, starts and stops pumps, engines and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processesMonitors gauges, meters, and control panelsObserves and reports abnormalities to supervisorMaintains shift log and records meter and gauge readingsCollects samples and performs routine laboratory tests and analysesPerforms routine maintenance functions and custodial dutiesPerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDA valid Drivers License
