Remote Contract General

Water And/or Wastewater EngineerKimley-Horn's West Palm Beach, Florida (FL) office is seeking a Water and/or Wastewater Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Water/Wastewater and Utilities team! This is not a remote position.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects and is open to candidates with a range of relevant experience who are passionate about advancing water and/or wastewater systems and providing sustainable solutions for clients.This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projectsYou will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationshipsYou will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractorsResponsibilitiesDesigning water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, water treatment systems, wastewater treatment systems, water/wastewater distribution planning, master planning, and treatment plant rehabilitation and expansionsManaging project tasks, project design and permitting, construction administration, and providing regular coordination communications with project teamMentorship to staff with less experienceCollaborate with multidisciplinary team and external clients to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projectsProvide quality assurance and quality control to projects and maintain a high degree of quality sets of plans along with checking the work of othersCreate work plans and adhere to the budget set by the client and performing strong project management knowledgeAttend meetings and communicate with clients, government entities, and various regulatory agencies to fulfill any regulations and requirements relating to projectsMonitor project progress, budgets, and schedulesQualifications4+ years of relevant engineering design experienceProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Relevant municipal engineering experience including designing pump stations, pipelines, water/wastewater treatment facilitiesExperience performing hydraulic modeling (using programs such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, etc.)Excellent written and oral communication skillsPositive attitude, self-motivated; sense of urgency to produce high quality workAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesEntrepreneurial spirit with the potential/desire to lead a practice and manage clients and a teamWhy Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
