Water Treatment Operator Duties
You will monitor and control the water treatment process that include, chemical addition, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, chlorination, filtration, pH control, and fluoridation.
You will analyze present and anticipated raw water quality, evaluate test results, and change chemical feed rates, filtration rates, and other parameters to keep operations within established limits.
You will maintain water system storage capacity by monitoring water tank elevations, and coordinating filtration rates.
You will control the operation of the raw water pumps when required to match plant operations to meet the treatment demand.
