An established engineering consultancy is seeking an Office Lead to support the continued growth and development of its transportation and infrastructure practice. This leadership-focused role combines business development, client management, team leadership, and project oversight, providing the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a growing office while maintaining strong technical involvement across transportation, drainage, and municipal infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and strategic direction for the office, including staff development, operational performance, and growth initiatives
- Managing and expanding relationships with public and private sector clients across transportation and infrastructure markets
- Leading project delivery teams to ensure quality, profitability, and successful client outcomes
- Supporting business development efforts through networking, proposals, presentations, and pursuit strategy
- Mentoring and developing engineers, project managers, and technical staff to support long-term succession planning
- Collaborating with regional leadership to drive market expansion, recruiting efforts, and overall office performance
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of experience within transportation, drainage, water resources, or municipal infrastructure consulting
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, projects, and client relationships
- Strong business development background with experience winning and delivering work
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of state and local agency standards, permitting requirements, and infrastructure delivery processes
