Water Estimator

Our client is a locally owned, full-service commercial general contractor that has served the Washington, DC metro area since 2009. They're hiring an Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team. You'll work directly with a Director of Preconstruction who is building a department designed to scale, and who is invested in developing the people on it. 50+ full-time staff and 1,000+ completed projects since 2009, with strong financial stability * Federal, healthcare, education, and commercial interiors work for clients like GSA, the Army, and Homeland Security * A culture built on Innovation, Tenacity, Customer First, Reputation, Growth Orientation, and a Self-Starter mindset: "A commitment made is a commitment delivered."

Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction, you'll prepare assigned estimates from document review through final pricing. That includes quantity takeoffs, subcontractor outreach and coverage, bid leveling, and documenting scope and assumptions.

• Join a 3-person estimating team, plus a project coordinator, in a department that is actively expanding
• Learn and help refine the standardized bid procedures, templates, and workflows being built right now
• Gain exposure to base building, commercial interiors, healthcare, education, government/federal, and phased construction projects
• 3–6 years of commercial estimating experience with a general contractor or subcontractor
• Commercial interiors and/or base building experience preferred
• Familiarity with DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) subcontractors is a plus
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, and Microsoft Excel/Office
• A four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required.
