Wastewater Technician, 1st Shift

Wastewater Technician (Certified)Gpac is working with a client company in western Ohio, who is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wastewater Technician (certified) to join their team. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in wastewater management and a commitment to workplace safety.Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment (pumps, valves, filters, etc.)Perform daily inspections of the wastewater system and record operational dataCollect water and sludge samples for laboratory testing and adjust treatment as necessaryEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulationsPerform preventative maintenance and assist with repairs on treatment systemsMaintain accurate logs, records, and reportsWork safely and comply with all company safety protocols and PPE requirementsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required2–3 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatmentValid Wastewater CertificationForklift or equipment operation certificationStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read technical manuals and follow standard operating proceduresPreferred Skills:Experience with PLC or SCADA systemsKnowledge of OSHA safety standards and environmental compliance regulationsWhy Join Us?Competitive pay & benefitsStable work schedule with opportunities for advancementOn-the-job training and certification supportA team-oriented work environment focused on safety and sustainability
