The Wastewater Operator plays a vital role in the facility's day-to-day operations and preventive maintenance.
In addition to job-related tasks as assigned by management, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:Collect wastewater samples for process monitoring and compliance requirementsOperate equipment, read gauges, meters, and record dataPerform fundamental basic laboratory tasksAssist with maintenance, repairs, and tasks as neededEffectively utilize the MaintainX Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for task managementSafely handle chemicals and adjust dosing per supervisor directionConduct daily walkthroughs of the facility, complete documentation, complete checklists, and escalate concerns as neededUtilize the SCADA system and make fundamental adjustmentsParticipate in On-Call rotations after hours and on weekends with support from management as neededOther duties as assignedTravel Expectations: Travel is not anticipated, but may be required periodicallyRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be able to respond within 30 minutes when on callValid driver's licenseGood problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skillsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyPreferred Qualifications:1+ years of experience in wastewaterPrevious experience in maintaining industrial equipmentPrevious experience operating skid steer and forkliftExperience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferredHands-on experience with blowers, pumps, motors, and actuated valves, among othersAbility to obtain Operator Certifications as specified by the local state requirements
