Wastewater OperatorAs a Wastewater Operator, you will be responsible for operating equipment to purify and clarify water, process it, or dispose of sewage. You will collect and test water and sewage samples, document and report test results to regulatory agencies, and add chemicals as needed to disinfect water or other liquids. Additionally, you will monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges, record meter and gauge readings and operational data, and clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds, and other work areas. The position involves exposure to wastewater, chemicals, odors, high-noise areas, and outdoor weather conditions. The use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, gloves, and protective clothing, is required. Rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and after-hours call-outs may be necessary.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monterey Park, CA.The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
