Physical Chemical Wastewater Operator

Ground / Water Treatment & Technology (GWTT) is a leading provider of professional environmental and water treatment solutions. We are currently seeking a full-time, self-motivated, and dependable Physical Chemical (P/C) Wastewater Operator to join our Operations & Maintenance Services Division.

The ideal candidate will be a strong problem-solver with excellent communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to safety. You will play a critical role in treating contaminated water and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This position is a great fit for someone with 3-5 years of relevant experience who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role with opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

As a P/C Wastewater Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various treatment systems under the supervision of a project manager. Your core duties will include:

  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a neat and orderly work area. Conduct daily job hazard assessments and ensure the treatment system complies with all discharge limits.
  • System Operation: Operate, inspect, and monitor process equipment, meters, and gauges. Accurately record operational data, HMI settings, and system readings.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, including pumps, valves, and piping. Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot issues, making necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed and legible logbooks, including a summary report on system operations. Use computer-based programs, including Microsoft Office, to prepare basic reports and communications.
  • Chemical Management: Oversee the off-loading of chemicals and conduct daily/weekly inventory of all chemicals and supplies. Optimize chemical dosing and properly containerize and label wastes for disposal.
  • Sampling: Collect water samples, fill out Chain of Custody forms, and label samples for lab analysis. Deliver samples to couriers or FedEx as needed.
Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· 3-5 years of related work experience.

· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
