Position Summary:

Performs laboratory analysis of municipal water and wastewater in compliance with NMED/EPA standards.

Position Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

• AA or AS Degree in Utility Operation or equivalent.
• Education must have included 12 semester hours of university level chemistry or biology or six weeks’ direct experience in lab setting.
• NM Operator Level III Certification in Wastewater; or Wastewater Laboratory Technician Level II
• NM Class D Driver’s License
• Two (2) years’ experience in laboratory analysis of water or wastewater
• Working knowledge of Federal and State monitoring requirements
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests
