Providing phone-based support for individuals in crisis, the full-time Washington State Intake Specialist will connect callers to essential health and human services while delivering empathetic customer service in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities: Manage phone interactions to provide community-based referrals and information to callers Support residents across Washington by connecting them with available resources and services Collaborate with team members to create a positive and confidential experience for callers Required qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center setting Knowledge of community resources for underserved populations Professional phone demeanor with strong verbal communication skills Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment as part of a team Ability to demonstrate and coach active listening skills effectively
