To ensure maximum reimbursement for complex services, the full-time Washington Authorization Coordinator will assess financial liabilities for patients outside the WAMI region, educate families and staff on options, and coordinate scheduling actions, all while working remotely from Washington State. Key responsibilities Meet payor authorization requirements for a variety of complex services Assess financial liability for services requested by patients living outside the WAMI region Educate families and clinic staff on financial clearance options and coordinate scheduling actions Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent experience Four years of experience in patient registration, scheduling, or financial counseling related to insurance authorization Combination of applicable experience and college-level coursework may substitute for experience Must be physically based in Washington State Familiarity with diverse cultures or bilingual skills preferred
