Records Specialist / Warehouse AssociateSpherion is seeking a dependable, physically active Records Specialist / Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing, moving, and organizing critical storage boxes, files, and backup media within our record center. This is a highly physical position that combines manual labor with inventory management technology, requiring heavy lifting, bending, and operating basic material-handling equipment like hand trucks and pallet jacks.Available Location & Shifts: Everett - 7:30 AM to 4:00 PMNote on Work Hours: Full-time (5 days/week, 9-hour shifts - includes a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks)ResponsibilitiesInventory & Order Processing: Process incoming and outgoing orders by reading labels, using a handheld scanner, and logging data into our proprietary system to track and locate inventory.Material Handling & Staging: Manually move, arrange, lift, and stack storage boxes, bins, and totes onto pallets, hand carts, or delivery trucks.Pallet Preparation: Safely load, secure, and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.Equipment Operation: Safely operate hand carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and ladder systems across concrete and uneven surfaces.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, including wearing mandatory steel/composite-toe, slip-resistant protective footwear.SkillsPrior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or record management environment.Comfort using handheld barcode scanners and basic computer systems for inventory lookup.Familiarity with safely operating manual material handling tools (pallet jacks, hand trucks).Strong attention to detail when pulling and organizing numbered or cataloged inventory.EducationHigh SchoolExperience0-1 yearsQualificationsPhysical Capability: Ability to frequently kneel, squat, reach, bend, stoop, crawl, and balance on ladders throughout a full 9-hour shift.Heavy Lifting: Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance, including on stairways and inclines.Communication: Functional proficiency in reading and writing English to handle labels, order slips, and system prompts.Footwear Requirement: Must possess or acquire steel-toe or composite-toe protective footwear meeting ASTM F safety standards with a "Better or Best" slip-resistant rating.
