Once trained, will then work Friday through Sunday, 6:30 am - 7:00 pm.Job Purpose:The purpose of this role is to provide hands-on leadership in directing daily operations within assigned departments, ensuring alignment with Growscape's safety, quality, and performance standards.
The role supports team development through training, coaching, and process improvement, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in achieving operational goals by fostering a safe work culture, completing administrative tasks, and driving continuous improvement across key performance indicators.Key Responsibilities:Individual must be a hands-on leader with strong writing and verbal communication skillsAbility to learn distribution processes as it relates to operations and our company proceduresMust possess process troubleshooting skills to respond to and drive performance/people developmentMust be able to lead training effort of new employeesDirect daily shift work of assigned departmentsMust be able to accurately complete all administrative paperworkAchieve business goals in areas like safety, quality, delivery, and costMust be able to lead and create a safe work culture. Emphasis on lockout-tag out and forklift training needsAssist with performance reviews, plus other supervisory activitiesSupport all company policies and Procedures including 5S and focused work teamsExecute coaching and corrective disciplineEnsure compliance of direct reports to all Growscape policies and proceduresPrioritize activities of team leaders and support departmentsMonitor, maintain and improve key performance indicators dailyLead by example and perform all job duties in accordance with Growscape's valuesPerform other administrative tasks and special projects as assignedQualificationsEducation:High school diploma or GED required.Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferredExperience:2+ years cumulative experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environmentMinimum of 12 months experience in a leadership rolePrior forklift experience required3rd party software exposure preferred with payroll/timekeeping and ERPStrong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsExperience in RF Scanners & Warehouse Management Computer SoftwarePrior experience with FedEx & UPS SystemsSkills:Must have a strong working knowledge of warehouse operationsBilingual English/Spanish a plusMechanical aptitudeAbility to be shift flexibleMust possess good communication/interpersonal skills and get along well with othersAbility to work in a team-oriented work environmentStrong time management skillsExcellent organization and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentLimited travel as requiredPhysical Requirements:The ability to lift 50 lbsStand, bend, stretch, sit and reach continuously throughout the shiftTolerance for changing warehouse conditions due to weather (extreme heat or cold)
