Global Industrial — Delivering Value Starts HereKey ResponsibilitiesAccomplishes warehouse objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and proceduresMeets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvementsMoves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departmentsDelivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring itemsMaintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvementsMaintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting dataSecures warehouse by locking all exit doors, turning alarms on; testing systems and securing outside entrance doorKeeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairsUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publicationsCommunicating with staff to motivate and enable them to reach their ultimate level of success Provide available tools and resources to perform their duties in an efficient and safe mannerAccomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as neededCompetencies and skillsWork Schedule: 2nd Shift.
