Warehouse SupervisorProvide direct supervision to shipper(s), receiver(s), material handlers and driver(s).Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Assure on-time shipments by monitoring orders, assigning internal resources, coordinating with other departments and working with transportation resources outside of theAssure accuracy of material movement transactions including receipts, shipments and inter/intraplant transfers. Identify and implement improvements that improve the accuracy ofMonitor efficiency of material handling activities and identify and implementReconcile freight bills with actual shipments and/orRoute interplant trucking;Assist shipper and receiver in scheduling receipts andEnsure cleanliness and orderliness ofEnsure safe operation of warehouse including leading fork truck safetyTrain new employees; provide performance feedback and deliver performanceOther duties as assigned.Education/Experience:Two-year college degree required.Supervise 4-6 employees in the materials department. Is responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
