Warehouse Supervisor- 3rd ShiftThe Warehouse Supervisor serves as a leader and provides guidance for all warehouse labor duties. Responsible for directing daily activities of the warehouse including labor, scheduling, and supervision of day-to-day operations. Oversees and provides training to warehouse associates following Metropolitan's set standards and quality guidelines for loading, unloading, packaging and scan discipline.
Oversees inventory levels, monitors the safety of goods, and ensures the efficient usage of warehouse space. Assigns tasks and aids Warehouse Manager with all shipping and receiving responsibilities. Trains on safety processes as neededLeads daily stand up with all Senior and Team Leads updating all warehouse associates with daily goals and tasksDevelops effective relationships with Warehouse Associates and provide strong leadershipNotifies Warehouse Manager of any Associate issues and tracks Associate's attendance and performanceAssures all product is handled in a safe and professional mannerAssumes the Warehouse Manager's responsibilities when the Warehouse Manager is absentMeets all outbound and inbound load deadlines. Assures all loads are 100% complete with no partial orders shippedCoordinates with other Shift Warehouse Supervisors, setting up the workload for next shift startMinimizes Warehouse Associate OTWalks the warehouse frequently to assure items are placed in correct location and scannedKeeps warehouse clean and free of any trash or debrisAssures all unload and load reports are properly completed upon turn inAssists with different warehouse duties as neededHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2-3 years of supervisory or warehouse lead experience desiredMinimum of 2-3 years of previous inventory control experience desiredAbility to understand inventory processesExperience working with furniture preferredAttention to detailProven leadership and organizational skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to motivate others and work with a variety of peopleAbility to lead large groups of individuals in a high-pressure, fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Warehouse Management System (WMS) experienceLifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly and occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistanceStanding and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workdayPushing and Pulling: Ability to push and pull wheeled carts or pallet jacks loaded with merchandiseBending, Stooping, and Reaching: Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead frequentlyPhysical Stamina: Demonstrate physical stamina and endurance to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environmentManual Dexterity: Ability to handle and manipulate small parts or delicate items with precisionFlexibility to work extended hours or weekends when necessary to address urgent operational needsJob Type: Full-timeMetropolitan Warehouse is an equal opportunity employer.
