Warehouse OperatorAs a Warehouse Operator your primary duty will be to service, protect and care for our customers goods that are stored in our facility warehouse space. In this role you will be tasked with operating various pieces of warehouse equipment to accomplish work activity. On a daily basis it will be the principal duty of the Warehouse Operator to carefully unload, inspect, stack and store, and eventually pick and ship customers products diligently and with a high degree of safety in mind. Operators will need to be good at counting, keeping track and documenting all activity pertaining to loading, unloading and storing customer goods.

The employee will have a good understanding of warehouse processes and flow of goods in and out of the facility.This is a full-time position. Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as necessary as customer demands could cause staff to work outside normal business operating hours.Essential FunctionsConduct all warehouse functions guided by company policies and procedures, safety, customer requests and the Customer Service DepartmentSupport and abide by the company's safety and security programs, initiatives, policies and proceduresComplete warehouse tasks utilizing RF Scanners, forklifts (sit down and standup) pallet jacks, stretch wrappers etc.Receiving FreightUnload material off semi-truck trailersInspect, account and receive product into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)Count all product and measure against work orders to ensure accuracy of shipmentReport shortages/overages/damages/mis-shipments on appropriate forms or scannersEfficiently stack and store product in a manner that will not damage productsCompare to manifest and check all shipments for seals, damage, infestation and unique product identifiers (lots, batches, serial numbers, etc.)InventoryStore product in a manager that meets product storage comingling requirementsAlways account for inventory moves in the WMSReport any changes, damages or deterioration in stored productAlways stack and store product that is neat and organizedOrder PickingEnsure that the correct product and quantity is picked, and the physical inventory matches the work ordersWhen picking, pick in a manner that prevents any type of product damageStage and conduct one final inspection of product to ensure product is damage free and the physical inventory matches the work orderShipping FreightEnsure completeness and accuracy of outbound shipmentsEnsure the product is handled in a manner that keeps the product damage free when loading product onto trailersInspect and clean trailers to ensure trailer is free of any debris or contaminates that could potentially damage the productUnderstands trailing loading and weight distribution requirementsSecure freight in conjunction with customer requirementsVerify that the trailer is properly sealedCommunicate with the CSR, Traffic and Supervisor when load is completeEquipmentMaintain the equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashionOperate equipment safely and efficiently that complies with OSHA and company standards of operationUse Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessaryOther DutiesMaintain a neat, clean and orderly work area and ensure company housekeeping policies and procedures are keptAssist in cleaning warehouse, trailers, railcars and grounds as neededComplete all duties in a manner that promotes safety at all timesLump, package, repack, rework, kitting and light assembly of customer's productsAny additional duties as assigned by managementCompetenciesAttention to detail — Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.Basic math to include adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and countingTeam oriented-Will work well with others to get a project completedCommunication proficiency to included reading and writing in EnglishStress tolerance — Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situationsDependability — Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligationsAchievement/effort — Job requires establishing and maintaining personally challenging achievement goals and exerting effort toward mastering tasks while having a high degree of pride in the work one performsWork EnvironmentThis position works in a warehouse setting. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 70 pounds.
