Warehouse Material Handler
The Warehouse Material Handler supports daily operations in a supply store environment by safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to receive, store, move, and ship products. This role ensures accurate inventory control, efficient stocking and picking of materials, and maintains a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. The position requires flexibility to work an 8-hour shift scheduled within store hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.
Responsibilities
- Use forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, including trucks and small parcel carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL.
- Safely operate all assigned material handling equipment and complete required inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Report all accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions promptly to the supervisor and follow established safety procedures.
- Stock and arrange products in warehouse racks to support efficient inventory turns and easy access to materials.
- Perform cycle counts to determine accurate material quantities and support ongoing inventory control.
- Receive materials into inventory, verify part numbers and quantities, and enter accurate data into electronic systems for receipts, inventory levels, and locations.
- Move materials between designated locations and accurately locate and pick materials to and from warehouse locations as required.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies involving material quantities, part numbers, or location records to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Locate and store parts in a manner that ensures pallets are stable, pallet heights are within safe limits, and racking, materials, and equipment remain undamaged.
- Keep aisles clear and ensure materials are not left in walkways or traffic lanes to maintain a safe and orderly warehouse.
- Consistently practice safe material handling techniques and follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned to keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Work overtime and weekends as required to support business needs, recognizing that this role is designated as safety sensitive.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with small parcel carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL.
- Familiarity with electronic inventory and warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail when handling part numbers, quantities, and location data.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area through regular housekeeping activities.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with changing priorities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
