Warehouse ManagerOversee all warehouse operations and maintain the integrity of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, including any third-party warehouses used for the storage/supply of products. Manage shipping and receiving operations and inventory levels while ensuring material handlers, warehouse service providers, equipment, and physical assets are safe.Essential FunctionsIdentify best practices for warehouse management; continuously evaluate performance of warehouse functions to optimize effectivenessEnsure documented procedures and processes are developed and implemented throughout the departmentMonitor daily activity of all shipping, receiving, and inventory warehouse employees to ensure the highest level of internal and external customer serviceOversee inventory controls, returns, product damage, material transactions, and inventory balancesEnsure coordination of inventory transfers and physical inventoriesGuide individuals and groups towards effective control of material movement in, around, and outside of the facilityAct as a liaison between manufacturing and customer serviceDirect ongoing communication and collaboration with customers (both internal and external) to ensure results meet or exceed customer expectations for service, quality, reliability, speed, and accuracyInspect physical condition of warehouses, including equipment, products, and supplies; order maintenance, repairs, or replacements as neededPrepare and manage departmental budgetsInterview and select warehouse employees who will fit well into the working culture and share the company's core valuesOversee the training, development, and coaching of warehouse employees, including requirements for keeping the warehouse clean, organized (utilizing 5S principles), and defect freeTrain/cross-train warehouse associates on all company-required trainingDefine, develop, and set metrics for internal warehouse employees; provide specific electronic reports (metrics) as requiredFoster a sense of team responsibility for achieving goalsSupport food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured productsPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)Bachelor's degree in a supply chain related discipline and/or 3 equivalent years of experienceAPICS affiliation/certification desiredFood manufacturing experience and familiarity with commodity-sensitive businesses preferredRetail and foodservice channel experience desiredStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel; experience with ERP Systems: Microsoft Great Plains, Navision, SAPExperience with manufacturing modules including MRP, MPS, and WMS desiredStrong leadership and team-building skills with an intense desire to drive positive change and deliver resultsAbility to establish rapport quickly, communicating with ease, skill, and convictionAbility to effectively work across different departmental functions and levels of the company, reducing or eliminating barriers to inter-departmental decision makingAbility to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervisionCalifornia, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $116,000 to $130,000 annually.

Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
