Build Something From the Ground Up

Portmantos is launching a new warehouse operation in California and is looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to help build, scale, and run the operation from day one.

This is not a “sit behind a desk” role - you will be on the floor, setting up processes, building the team, and creating a high-performance warehouse from scratch.

What You'll Do (Startup Enviornment)

• Lead initial warehouse setup (layout, workflows, processes)
• Build receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping operations
• Hire, train, and develop warehouse team
• Establish KPIs and productivity standards
• Implement SOPs and improve continuously
• Set up ERP/WMH systems
• Ensure compliance with California labor laws and Cal/OSHA (IIPP)
• Create a strong safety-first culture
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams

What We're Looking for

• 3-7+ years warehouse management experience
• Startup or build-out experience preferred
• Ability to build processes and teams from scratch
• Hands-on leadership style
• Inventory control and fulfillment expertise
• ERP/WMS experience
• Knowledge of shipping/logistics operations
• Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA safety compliance
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
