As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the daily operations and efficiency of the warehouse. This position encompasses managing all warehouse and distribution functions, including operations, transportation, and personnel. You will lead and develop your team, with a primary focus on motivation, mentorship, and coaching. Your role will involve maintaining high levels of safety, quality, attendance, performance, and engagement. Success requires equipping your team with the tools and decision‑making authority to excel. You will drive productivity and efficiency through data‑driven decisions and analytical problem‑solving.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee inbound purchasing and logistics, including placing orders to meet production needs.
    • Manage warehouse operations, including inventory management, warranty processing, and returns.
    • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment by coordinating inventory delivery to project sites.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Drive improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery timeliness, order accuracy, and pick rate.
    • Provide reports on performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
    • Support the rollout and implementation of new systems and processes, incorporating team feedback.
    • Lead process improvement initiatives proactively.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to safety programs and OSHA standards to maintain a secure work environment.
    • Develop and enforce security protocols to prevent product loss.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Foster a customer service‑oriented approach, prioritizing timely and accurate outcomes.
    • Manage recognition and communication programs to enhance employee engagement.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Strong customer service orientation with a high sense of urgency.
    • Prior Management experience.
    • HVAC and Electrical experience and product knowledge.
    • At least 3 years of management experience.
    • Proficiency in logistics, fulfillment, and transportation operations.
    • Experience in planning, staffing, budgeting, and organizing workflows.
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to identify and implement practical solutions to complex problems.
    • Proven leadership skills, including conflict resolution and employee development.
    • Knowledge of HR regulations, safety rules, and procedural compliance.
    • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift equipment up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to climb and work from ladders.
