Warehouse Manager – Plumbing Inventory/Warehouse Manager

Location: Lexington, South Carolina

Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000 Depending on Experience

As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing warehouse operation, inventory management, team development, problem-solving, reporting and analysis to ensure all work is performed on schedule and to the highest standards. Responsibilities

  • You'll oversee the tracking, organizing, and maintaining of plumbing supplies, tools, and equipment to ensure everything is accounted for and readily available
  • You'll supervise the receiving, storing, and dispatching of materials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes
  • You'll train, mentor, and manage warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring their performance to maintain a productive work environment
  • You'll implement and enforce safety protocols to protect employees and property
  • You'll address issues like damaged inventory, logistical challenges, or supply shortages, finding practical solutions to keep operations running smoothly
  • You'll analyze data and workflows to identify areas for improvement, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs
  • You'll work with suppliers, contractors, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of materials
  • You'll generate reports on inventory levels, warehouse productivity, and operational efficiency to inform decision-making
  • You'll get to develop strong relationships with vendors through positive communication, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship

  • Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse supervision, product life cycle management, and plumbing component knowledge

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • REQUIRED: Valid Driver’s License and good driving record (5 years)
  • REQUIRED: 5+ years of warehouse experience
  • REQUIRED: 3+ years in warehouse leadership
  • REQUIRED: Ability to stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for periods of time
  • REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • PREFERRED: 2- or 4-year Warehouse Management degree
  • Computer and Internet related skills (MS Office, Excel, Gmail, etc.)
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment requiring physical labor throughout the day
  • Must be a self-starter with good communication skills
  • Must be efficient with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work without supervision once trained, self-disciplined
  • Must have strong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently and problem solve
  • Ability to maintain a professional distance with co-workers to be an effective leader
