Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all warehouse operations as a hands‑on leader, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team‑building atmosphere. The candidate will supervise and continuously improve all inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movements, manage performance, interview potential candidates, provide direction to the assigned team, and support any specific area of responsibility. The role reports to the Materials Manager and manages issues within the warehouse regarding processes or personnel while promoting policies, safety procedures, goals, expectations, and Parker Purpose and Values.
Responsibilities
- Enforce all EHS policies (LOTO, PPE, forklift safety, hazmat as applicable) and lead incident prevention activities.
- Conduct safety talks, audits, and corrective actions; maintain required training records.
- Model the safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedures.
- Supervise inbound receiving, put‑away, replenishment, cycle counting, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Customer Service, Planning, and Transportation to support on‑time delivery.
- Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts, root‑cause analysis of variances, and corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate transactions in the WMS/ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, other), including receipts, moves, adjustments, and shipments.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members—hiring input, onboarding, training, performance management.
- Set expectations, manage attendance, and support engagement and a positive culture.
- Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, labeling/packaging standards, and customer‑specific requirements.
- Drive 5S, visual management, standard work, and waste elimination initiatives.
- Track KPIs (safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, on‑time shipment) and implement countermeasures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years warehouse/logistics experience; 1+ year in a lead/supervisory role preferred.
- Working knowledge of WMS/ERP, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Lean/continuous improvement experience (Kaizen, 5S, standard work).
- Experience with KPI dashboards, labor planning, and slotting/material flow.
Physical / Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 35–50 lbs (with or without accommodation), stand/walk for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment (temperature variation, noise, MHE traffic).
- Shift work and overtime as needed.
