Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and staff supervision. This role ensures efficient warehouse processes, maintains inventory accuracy, enforces safety standards, and supports organizational objectives through effective logistics and distribution management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse Operations

• Plan, organize, and manage daily warehouse activities.
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
• Ensure products are stored safely and efficiently.
• Monitor workflow and implement process improvements to increase productivity.

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure product availability.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
• Schedule staff and allocate resources to meet operational demands.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Address employee performance and development needs.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.

Performance Management

• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage warehouse budgets and control operating costs.
• Analyze operational data to identify efficiency improvements.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse performance.

Customer Service & Coordination

• Collaborate with transportation, procurement, and customer service teams.
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Resolve shipping and delivery issues as needed.
• Support internal and external customer requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Experience managing budgets and operational costs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
• Ability to operate or oversee the operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Working Conditions

• May require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work to meet operational demands.
