Warehouse ManagerThe Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of warehouse activities within the transportation and warehousing industry. This position leads our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse staff, overseeing the shipping and receiving of high-value items (including artwork and furniture), maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the facility is organized, safe, and compliant with all company protocols.

A strong focus on client satisfaction, team leadership, and attention to detail are essential.Leadership & Team ManagementSupervise, coach, and train warehouse team membersDelegate tasks effectively and follow up on resultsConduct regular performance evaluations and support team developmentLead by example with a professional, positive attitudePromote a culture of accountability, safety, and respectWarehouse OperationsOversee daily shipping, receiving, packing, and storage tasksEnsure accurate documentation for all transactions (logs, BOLs, work orders, etc.)Maintain organized storage and optimize use of warehouse spaceApply knowledge of proper packing techniques and materials for fragile and high-value objectsInventory & Facility ManagementMaintain and update digital inventory systemsConduct regular inspections and ensure proper labeling and documentationManage equipment maintenance and supply orderingSupport collection management services for clientsClient Communication & CoordinationAct as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and issuesProvide quotes and shipping estimates when neededCoordinate with other departments to ensure seamless client serviceFollow up with clients and team to confirm job completion and satisfactionSafety & ComplianceServe as Safety & Security Officer for the companyLead company-wide safety meetings and initiativesEnsure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirementsOversee physical security systems at all locationsAdministrative & Strategic SupportParticipate in company planning sessions and team meetingsPerform administrative duties as neededSupport company goals through cost analysis, resource planning, and workflow improvementsQualifications & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma requiredMinimum 5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleBackground in inventory management, moving, storage, or art handling is strongly preferredSkillsStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to interpret documents, write clear emails, and handle client communications professionallyIntermediate math skills for calculations, billing, and cost analysisProficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word); experience with warehouse or inventory software preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasksComfortable working around mechanical equipment and in occasionally noisy environments
