Warehouse ManagerWonderful Sales is the sales and merchandising organization for The Wonderful Company – but you may know us as Wonderful Pistachios, FIJI Water, POM Wonderful, and Wonderful Halos. We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our Direct Store Delivery (DSD) team in Bronx, NY. This role is a great opportunity for someone that is looking for career growth within a company and to be a part of a team devoted to promoting our high-quality branded products.The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing the receiving, warehouse, and distribution operations of the Bronx DSD facility. You will manage a small team of warehouse clerks.

This role reports to the DSD Finance and Operations Manager.Job DescriptionOversee all inbound receiving / outbound loading dutiesEnsure that all orders are accurately picked and prepped for all route orders or customer deliveriesMaintain inventory control, organization and cleanliness of the warehouseCoordinate general maintenance of the warehouse and its equipmentOversee the successful completion of all afternoon shift and closing duties for the warehouse teamManage a small team of warehouse clerks, including recruiting, training and developmentManage attendance, productivity and performance metrics (KPIs) implementing coaching and recognition programs to drive continuous improvementFoster a safety-first mindset and ensure compliance with OSHA workplace safety and food safety standards in accordance with the company's policies and proceduresServe as a member of the food safety team, participating in weekly safety meetings and the annual auditPromote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence through consistent coaching, constructive feedback, recognition, and employee developmentCollaborate with Human Resources on managing performance expectations and disciplinary actionsDevelop cross-training program to increase workforce flexibility and achieve operational continuitySchedule and allocate labor resources based on workload, productivity targets and business prioritiesSupport seasonal readiness, promotional events, and peak planning in conjunction with other members of the management team with a proactive and collaborative mindsetDeliver product direct to stores and/or customer warehouse, whenever neededProvide back-up coverage for Route Sales Manager (4am-12pm shift), as neededPerform other duties or responsibilities, as assignedQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience required, with experience in food distribution and cold chain/perishable operationsAbility to use material handling equipment, specifically a forklift and pallet jackValid driver's license and no major driving infractions – background check will be conductedAbility to drive an 18 to 24 foot box truck, with liftgate (no commercial driver's license required)Move product weighing up to 50lbsProven experience building and leading high functioning teams in a fast-paced operational environment including prioritizing workload, delegating responsibilities and ensuring accountability for resultsStrong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage employees effectivelyExcellent problem-solving and strategic planning skillsStrong math and communication skills with the ability to read, write and speak EnglishAn enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated, resourceful, reliable and collaborative team player is a mustExperience with WMS is a plusProficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Apple-based products (iPhone)Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 and may include a discretionary bonus.
