Birmingham Electrical Contractors (BEC) is seeking a dependable and organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and support our commercial electrical construction projects throughout the Birmingham area. Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, organize, and maintain warehouse inventory.
  • Pull, stage, and prepare materials for upcoming commercial electrical projects.
  • Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to jobsites as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and reorder stock when necessary.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and material deliveries safely.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with company safety standards.
  • Safely operate company trucks and tow trailers while transporting materials and equipment.
  • Assist with electrical prefabrication, including assembling material packages and prefabricated electrical components according to company standards.
  • Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are safe, clean, and in proper working condition.
  • Support project managers and field electricians by ensuring materials are accurate, complete, and available when needed.
  • Utilize inventory tracking systems, email, and purchase order processes to maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with improving warehouse organization, efficiency, and inventory processes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse, inventory, construction material management, or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Experience working for an electrical contractor or construction company preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical materials such as conduit, wire, fittings, panels, breakers, devices, and lighting materials preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate company trucks and tow trailers.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including inventory tracking, email, and purchase orders.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple project teams.
  • Strong communication skills with both office staff and field personnel.
  • Dependable work history and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
