Join us to be part of our continuous success.General Accountability:Responsible to help maintain the Service Parts Storage and Velocity Plans and work on any Projects as related to Safety, CIP, WMS (Warehouse Management System) and Warehouse Layout/Design that are assigned by the Projects/Maintenance Supervisor.Shift Available: Monday-Friday 8:30a-5pDuties & Responsibilities:Level IFacility Maintenance: shelves & racking repairs, conveyors, collision prevention devices, sprinkler leak containment, floor repair/holes, skid loader operation during times of snow removal, dock drains, pressure washing, scissor lift operation, and some other general maintenanceResponsible to help maintain cleanliness and 5S standards within the operation and continue to help develop the 5S programWork on project tasks relating to Continuous Improvement, Safety and WMS (Warehouse Management System) assigned by Projects SupervisorInsure accurate movement of physical inventory with use of handheld device / barcode readersPick & pack (disposal/scrapping) of obsolete inventory lists from Purchasing TeamMust be willing to be cross-trained in other areas in the warehouse as neededMust perform within the Company Safety Program and PoliciesProper use of PPE at all timesLevel IIIn addition to the responsibilities for level IAssist with project workload planning & timelineHelp coach and train receiving binners to properly and safely put away new service parts according to Service Parts Slotting PlanLearn Lean Philosophy within the organization to focus on and participate in Continuous Improvement & Learning to improve processes, efficiencies and increased profitabilityLevel IIIIn addition to the responsibilities for level I and level IICross-trained in other areas in the warehouseResponsible for training new team membersFully understand Lean Philosophy within the organization to focus on and participate in Continuous Improvement & Learning to improve processes, efficiencies and increased profitabilityExperience:Level IPrevious experience in warehouse operations with a focus on lean warehousingKnowledgeable in facility maintenance: repairs, conveyors, collision prevention devices, sprinkler system maintenancePrevious experience with a Barcode Scanning System/handheld preferredForklift Certification strongly preferred (cherry picker, stand up reach truck); must be able to pass the forklift certification testMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs as part of the job function while using safe lifting techniquesAble to stand for extended periods of timeSome computer skills and basic math skills neededLevel II+2 years of prior experience in warehouse operations with a focus on lean warehousingProficient in facility maintenance: repairs, conveyors, collision prevention devices, sprinkler system maintenanceProficient with using a Barcode Scanning System/handheld requiredForklift Certification required (cherry picker, stand up reach truck); must be able to pass the forklift certification testAbility to communicate effectively with team membersAble to work independently under minimal supervisionMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs as part of the job function while using safe lifting techniquesAble to stand for extended periods of timeComputer skills and basic math skills requiredLevel III+5 years of prior experience in warehouse operations with a focus on lean warehousingExpert in facility maintenance: repairs, conveyors, collision prevention devices, sprinkler system maintenanceProficient with using and training new employees with a Barcode Scanning System/handheldForklift Certification required (cherry picker, stand up reach truck); must be able to pass the forklift certification testAbility to communicate effectively with team membersAble to work independently without supervisionMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs as part of the job function while using safe lifting techniques.Able to stand for extended periods of timeExceptional computer skills and basic math skills requiredOSHA safety protocols and hazard identificationEducation:Requires a high school education or equivalentWhat does MANITOU Group offer?Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour plus a potential quarterly bonus based on performance metricsActual pay determined by experience level, skills, qualifications & work locationThis position is located onsite in Belvidere, IllinoisTravel Requirements – no travel requiredIn addition to an inclusive compensation package, we offer a comprehensive benefits program including Medical/Dental/Vision, a matching 401k, tuition reimbursement, volunteer program, wellness activities, employee and family activities throughout the year and so much more!Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.Manitou Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
