Gate CheckerThe role of Gate Checker involves meticulous management of truck inventory, ensuring accurate records of finished goods leaving the facility for sales delivery or transfer to other warehouses. Additionally, this role will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse space.Count floor and truck inventoriesOperate a forklift in a safe and orderly manner (if applicable)Receive and store incoming items according to warehouse standardsMaintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handledMaintain cleanliness in assigned area (e.g. yard and warehouse)Reload route trucks promptly and safelySort and store partial cases of products returned on route trucksMaintain records of daily checklistDemonstrate communication, customer service and conflict resolution with peersEnsure adherence to audit standardsEducation and/or experience:Demonstrated proficiency in inventory managementHigh School Diploma or equivalentForklift CertificationKnowledge, skills and abilities:Basic mathematical skillsDemonstrated ability to control inventoryProficiency with Excel to monitor inventory movementExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Physical requirements:Ability to enter trailers and trucksFrequent reaching, pushing, and pullingMust be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds at timesAbility to work in warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures
