Responsibilities
- Maintain the safety and security programs under the direction of the Security Director.
- Integrate EHS and Security initiatives into the functional operation of the facility.
- Implement systems, processes, and procedures to prevent injuries and minimize environmental impact.
- Conduct investigations and supervise the guard force.
- Assess daily and weekly work habits, identify trends in vehicle and workers' compensation accidents.
- Review and evaluate performance of various functions related to safety and security goals.
Requirements
- 7-10 years: Work experience in retail operations, distribution, transportation, logistics, supply chain, security, safety management or related field;
- Bachelor's Degree - Logistics & Transportation
- Two or more years of Transportation safety experience;
- strong understanding of DOT, Yard Safety, DOT compliance and accident investigation.
- 2-5 years: Transportation safety experience; strong understanding of DOT, Yard Safety, DOT compliance and accident investigation.
Core Competencies
Demonstrates expertise in Transportation Safety Management, integrating EHS and Security initiatives, and implementing systems to minimize environmental impact. Strong background in DOT compliance and accident investigation is essential.
