Warehouse AssociateThe Warehouse Associate is responsible for all warehouse duties including pulling orders, staging, replenishing inventory, labeling, building kits, receiving, assisting with customer pick-ups, working with Program Coordinators for internal program needs, overall safety and cleanliness of the warehouse.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesExcellent attendance and punctualityEnsure safety and quality are top priorityMust work well with others and succeed in a team environmentPrepares refrigerated and frozen orders for distributionHandles program purchase invoices and collaborates with internal stakeholdersMaintains CERES inputs and cycle countsProvides intake support for new vendors/producers or vendors/producers for Farm to Table ProgramAdhere to food safety regulationsDaily cleaning, organization and date labelingRemove spoiled product and clean coolersPerform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse ManagerQualificationsA combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school diploma, GED or technical education and prior experience in a warehouse and distribution environment.Must be able to obtain a forklift certificationAbility to work with flexibility, efficiency and enthusiasm, both individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and ability to resolve problemsMust be able to use a computer and hand-held scanner, and operate all warehouse equipment safelyMust be able to use office equipmentDemonstrated ability to plan, manage and follow through on multiple daily tasks and projects.Leadership, diplomacy, interpersonal skillsAdditional RequirementsA desire to fulfill the Food Bank's mission and uphold its core values.Integrity, enthusiasm, perspective, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.A desire to be a part of an innovative, entrepreneurial organization with the ability to prioritize, move quickly, and maintain strong follow-through in a dynamic environment.The intellectual depth, maturity, wisdom, and collaborative skills to garner the trust and confidence of volunteer and volunteer leaders, staff, and other constituents.
