The company is targeting $50 billion in annual revenue within the decade through accretive acquisitions and organic growth.The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, staging, and shipping building materials while supporting safe and efficient warehouse operations. This role helps ensure customer orders are accurately prepared, inventory is properly maintained, and materials are handled safely throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.Warehouse Operations & Order FulfillmentPull, stage, verify, and prepare customer orders according to work orders, pick tickets, and shipping documentationReceive, inspect, unload, and store incoming inventory and materialsVerify product quantities, condition, and specifications prior to shipment or customer pickupLoad and unload company vehicles, customer vehicles, and common carriers safely and efficientlyPrepare products for shipment by labeling, wrapping, securing, and staging materials to prevent damage during transportMaterial Handling & Equipment OperationSafely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipmentMove materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areasPerform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptlyFollow established loading procedures to ensure loads are balanced, secure, and compliant with safety standardsInventory ManagementMaintain organized warehouse storage locations and accurate inventory recordsAssist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory accuracy initiativesIdentify damaged, defective, or non-conforming materials and report discrepanciesSupport inventory replenishment and proper stock rotation practicesCustomer Service & Team SupportAssist customers and drivers with loading materials and customer pickupsRespond professionally to customer questions and direct inquiries as appropriateCollaborate with warehouse, yard, sales, shipping, and operations teams to ensure efficient order fulfillmentSupport branch operations by assisting with additional warehouse and operational responsibilities as assignedSafety & HousekeepingFollow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and PPE standardsMaintain clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse, storage, and loading areasProperly dispose of packaging materials and maintain safe working conditionsPromote a safety-first culture by identifying and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions immediatelyWhat you'll bring:Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong customer service and communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentDependable attendance and strong work ethicBasic math and measurement skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience in warehouse, distribution, building materials, manufacturing, or construction environmentsForklift experience or ability to obtain certificationFamiliarity with inventory management systems and warehouse operationsExperience handling building materials, lumber, masonry, steel, or related products preferredWork is performed in warehouse, distribution, and loading environments with occasional outdoor exposureAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workdayAbility to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 75 poundsExposure to forklifts, machinery, noise, dust, and varying weather conditionsAbility to work overtime or weekends as business needs requireFrequent operation of material handling equipment and warehouse toolsWhat you'll earn:Health Care BenefitsPaid Time OffBenefits for union-represented roles are determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and may differ from standard company benefits.QXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
