Shipping and Receiving Warehouse AssociateThe Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Associate reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and plays a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This position is responsible for receiving inbound freight, processing and shipping outbound orders, performing light assembly, and maintaining accurate inventory in a clean and organized warehouse environment. You will work with bar code scanners, computer systems, and material handling equipment while meeting clear productivity metrics and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesReceive inbound freight accurately and efficiently, verifying quantities and product details against order sheets and documentation.Process and ship outbound orders by picking items from order sheets, packing boxes on the line, and preparing shipments according to company standards.Use bar code scanners and standing desk workstations to check the accuracy of orders, labels, and documentation before shipping.Perform light assembly tasks as required to prepare products for shipment.Load and unload materials safely, including frequent lifting of items weighing 50–60 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift, using team lifts for items over 50 pounds.Complete accurate data entry using multiple computer systems and programs to maintain up-to-date inventory and shipment records.Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and scales in a safe and efficient manner.Stock and move materials correctly throughout the warehouse to ensure proper placement, accessibility, and inventory control.Maintain accurate inventory by assisting with cycle counts and physical inventory, identifying and reporting discrepancies promptly.Perform day-to-day warehouse tasks including picking, packing, and shipping orders, utilizing handheld tools as needed.Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe by following established procedures, rules, and quality standards.Work toward clear, written productivity metrics posted on whiteboards, meeting hourly and daily goals while maintaining quality and accuracy.Participate in and support established safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.Demonstrate a strong work ethic and enjoy repetitive, detail-oriented tasks such as packaging boxes, scanning bar codes, and continuous movement throughout the shift.Essential SkillsStrong communication skills to coordinate effectively with supervisors and team members.Ability to safely lift and carry 50–60 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift, using appropriate lifting techniques and team lifts when necessary.Comfort with repetitive, detail-oriented tasks such as packing boxes, scanning bar codes, and meeting hourly productivity goals.Ability to use basic hand tools in support of warehouse and light assembly tasks.Willingness to be trained on cherry pickers and other material handling equipment, and to work at heights as needed to retrieve materials.Ability to operate pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and scales safely after training.Capability to use bar code scanners and multiple computer systems and programs for accurate data entry and inventory tracking.Attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and verification of orders from order sheets.Commitment to following established safety procedures, quality standards, and warehouse rules.Ability to work on your feet for the majority of the shift, moving throughout the warehouse and working at line and standing desk stations.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious warehouse experience, including inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping, is highly beneficial.Experience with cherry pickers or any type of forklift is ideal, though not mandatory.Familiarity with cycle counts and physical inventory processes is a plus.Experience in high-volume distribution or fulfillment environments, such as large e-commerce operations, is advantageous.Comfort working with clear performance metrics and goals tracked throughout the day.Ability to adapt to new systems, tools, and procedures as the warehouse continues to grow and improve.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy a supportive and collaborative environment with passionate and innovative teammates who value continuous improvement and customer service. You will regularly use bar code scanners, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, scales, and basic hand tools as part of daily operations. Clear metrics and goals are posted on whiteboards to guide performance and provide transparency. The facility includes a cantina with complimentary beverages and paid snack options, which are scanned to support accurate restocking.
