Warehouse AssociateThe Warehouse Associate will perform a variety of routine shipping, receiving, production and housekeeping tasks. Shipping tasks include picking, packaging and shipment of orders. Receiving tasks include loading and unloading truck shipments and stocking the warehouse shelves.

Production tasks include material handling, forklift operation, labeling and packaging of product. Associate is required to complete these tasks in accordance to company SOP's.ResponsibilitiesOperationsPrepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket and customer requirementsCheck inventory to verify availability of needed stockNotify the Supervisor of shortagesMaintain product stock in work areaStock shelves in the warehouseReceive and unload incoming material and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipmentSort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is receivedInspect shipments for damages, loss, or defects, and notify the Supervisor of findingsResponsible for accurately receiving, reporting, and distributing purchased itemsOperate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading material and equipmentAssist in snow removal of company grounds.Safety and HousekeepingClean and maintain isle with no tripping hazardsKeep all emergency exits clearInspect shelves for fall hazards and resolveReport any deficiencies to supervisorsSweep and maintain floors dailyClean and organize loading docks dailyInspect ladders, forklift and pallet jacks weeklyQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDEffective communication/comprehension skills - verbal and writtenMath skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measureBasic computer skillsPhysical requirements – ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders, lift materials up to 80 lbs., and move materials up to 600 lbs using a pallet jackWorking ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands.
